xxculture

In talking to some of my women friends, I realized many of us were pursuing artistic endeavors, but needed a *nudge* or a public forum (ta-da!) to present their work. So here it is…xxculture. For those of us with 2 x chromosomes, (some) time on our hands, a creative bent, and a sense of adventure. View this as a coffee clatch without the gossip…a fun place to explore without having to buy expensive airfare orΒ  haute couture! (Although that is fun, just spendy).

NOW, since nobody has really taken me up on posting, I basically just blog on my own. You are still welcome to post though. Men are also encouraged. I can always change the blog name.

I need to find my digital camera so I can upload new pix. I absolutely don’t know where I left it and I refuse to buy a new one until I uncover more evidence. Old pictures are boring and don’t tell my current story. My mother encouraged me not to put pictures of myself in a public forum. You may never see a real photo of me, unless you know me. I do it to make my mother happy in heaven.

Once I made a cameo in National Geographic. My mother commented, “It was lucky you didn’t get any stalkers.”

“Mom, it was a picture of the BACK OF MY HEAD. With a hat on.”

“But still…”

I miss my mother everyday. I only have pictures on my facebook, where only family and friends can see me. And I only post unflattering ones.

  1. Well, I am happy to see others point of view of this topic as I used to mean same thing – no one is going to know me or know how I look, but I am this old today that I actually don’t care and did hope I would get more readers/bloggers to my blogs (shuckles) What I don’t show is photos of my family and I only show off my art πŸ˜‰ – Thanks for visiting my writing blog and I will return once in while here and see what you are up to. Thanks again πŸ˜€ (btw I am Danish πŸ˜‰ )

    • I don’t post any pictures regularly, especially personal photos. I just decided it was easier for me that way. I wanted to just focus on the writing, not really caring who read it, just wanted to for the accountability. I hope to make it to Denmark someday. πŸ™‚ You’ll excuse the personal question but I saw the .nl and I already interact with one poet who writes in English and Dutch, so was thinking to expand the community. πŸ™‚

      • Don’t excuse dear, if you don’t ask you never get to know, right? πŸ™‚ I believe I would like to be in that community – When I am fresh and awake πŸ˜€ it is 2 AM here now so I am off to bed. “Talk” soon again G’night

  2. Thanks for showing interest in what I put out too. I sincerely hope you continue to find my works entertaining & pleasurable. Be safe.
