Frigate bird

Aye ‘Iwa

You would come to steal the flesh

Of my heart

Well that is just first

Then what next

Your ancient pteranodon silhoutte

Casts a pall on my precious day

I know this is your way

And yet as your shadow nears

I do not quiver

For I now know how

To hide away

From you and your ilk

But aye you cut across the blue

As I watch you skirt land and sea

And I somehow feel a little lonely

When you fly away without me.
