dwindling dreams

Where you are in this world

Or another

My soul is intermingled with yours

And we still dream together

Softening light

And dusky sorrow

Are windows into

This dawning hope

A face like a balloon

Floats over my bed

And tells me not to worry

About all the things in my head

Great long expanses of strand

Appear where you and I

Can wander hand in hand

In the drizzly grey

I roughly see you

Though you are away.
