Dreaming of trees

The wild ocean

Held and tossed

A glimmer of light

Is it a lighthouse

Here and there

But the tumultuous waves

Could not hold her soul

For though they excite

The tree is her delight

Strong solid stable

Yet ever changing

And stretching toward the sun

To be like a tree

But she was more like the sea

An end too vast to know

Unpredictable currents

Changing the shore to adapt her mood

Come back to the shore

I’ll hold it steady for you lass

I’ll hold fast

So you can hold on
