Your green plump ripeness hearkens summer
How I listen and wait
And flick your skin
With my nail to check you
I will wait until you are
Then you are mine.
Sometimes on your own with a dash of lemon
Or mixed with garden treats in a wonderful guacamole
On fish tacos you make my tastebuds and capillaries sing
And always smiles.
What joy when you ripen!
The day is glorious indeed.
